UICRI initiated an expert meeting dedicated to Ukrainian culture

The Ukrainian Institute for Conservative Studies and Innovations held an expert discussion on “Culture and Traditions in the Third Millennium: Formation of National Identity”. They discussed the origins of Ukrainian culture, the prospects for its development, and ways of international dissemination.

The event was attended by representatives of the scientific community, well-known figures of culture, art and sports. Among the invited guests was Kyrylo Stetsenko, a cultural critic, People’s Artist of Ukraine, educator and public figure. UICRI expert Olha Bench, People’s Artist of Ukraine, Consul General of Ukraine in Prešov, also spoke.
The participants also discussed cultural issues. Because of the war, funding has been minimized and there is no investment in culture. And according to leading experts of the UICRI, culture should be the first thing to be paid attention to and rehabilitated. This is necessary for Ukraine to find ways to overcome both economic and political challenges.

It is worth noting that cultural heritage is the main identifier and feature of any nation. And now, more than ever, all Ukrainians need to remember this and revive everything they have. Culture is the foundation of Ukrainian identity, which should be taken into account when solving any issues.

The next step of the UICRI is to unite Ukrainian intellectuals to generate new ideas and plans for the preservation and popularization of Ukrainian culture, heritage, and other historical achievements that can not only give confidence in the future but also inevitably lead to the victory of the Ukrainian state.

We would like to thank Kyiv International University for its assistance in organizing the event and everyone who joined the discussion!
