Intelligence and intelligentsia

The course Intelligence and intelligentsia

The purpose of mastering the discipline:
To teach students the principles of the nationalist-hermeneutical analysis of intelligence and intelligentsia.

“Defining the concept of intelligence is as difficult as defining beauty” We hear this word every day, but what does it really mean? Is intelligence simply intelligence, or is it something more?

Intellectuals are the mind and the engine of the nation. It has long determined the most important processes – state-building, cultural, educational, and scientific – in the life of each country. Many people have probably thought about the essence of true intelligence.

What should an intelligent person be like?
Some people believe that a true intellectual is a person of outstanding intellectual level and education. Others are convinced that even a high level of education is not a guarantee of intelligence, as there are many examples of moral ignorance among holders of higher education documents.

Conversely, there are examples of true intelligence and inner culture among ordinary people who do not have diplomas. A true intellectual not only has a high intellect, but also adheres to internal moral values.
This course will help us understand the differences between intellectuals and intellectuals, define intellectuals, and understand how they have changed in the modern world.

Our course is not only a class, but also a cultural experiment that will change your view of the world of intelligence.

If you want to get a deeper understanding of this complex phenomenon, this course is for you!

ABOUT THE COURSE

To teach students the principles of the nationalist-hermeneutical analysis of intelligence and intelligentsia.

The course is devoted to the hermeneutical interpretation of such an important cultural and social phenomenon as the intelligentsia, especially its most basic worldview trait – intelligence.

This topic requires an interdisciplinary approach – the integration of nationalist hermeneutics, philosophy, literary studies, sociology, cultural studies, national studies, political science, and Christology.

Despite the existing interpretations of the phenomena of intelligence and intelligentsia, there is still a lack of involvement in the comprehension of these important concepts of the achievements of the Ukrainian intellectual tradition, primarily nationalist hermeneutics, as well as artistic and literary interpretive experiences in Ukrainian and world literature.

Students are offered to familiarize themselves with the understanding of the main grounds for interpreting intelligence and intelligentsia in the nationalist-hermeneutical light in two dimensions: discursive-logical and artistic-literary.

At the same time, the specifics of a number of other concepts are interpreted: elite, intellectual, rude, employee, education, nationalism, Drahomanovism, Soviet pseudo-intellectuals, cosmopolitanism.
