At the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for the development of educational policy in Ukraine.
In particular, the emphasis was placed on the education of young people in the context of the formation of national identity and the return of the issue of restoring patriotic education to the system of science.
“During a long war, the state is obliged to take care of preserving the Ukraine-centered idea among young people and introduce it into the education system. After all, it is young people who shape the future of the nation, and the relevant authorities must understand this. And to introduce relevant disciplines into the education system,” Andriy Tarasenko said during the meeting.
According to Mykhailo Shevchenko, Director of the Ukrainian Institute of Conservative Studies, patriotic education should become a priority for all educational authorities in Ukraine.
“The Ukrainian Institute for Conservative Studies and Innovations, for its part, is doing everything to ensure that the education system in Ukraine acquires new meanings and significance. It is necessary to pay attention to patriotic education, to form a sense of a clear national identity among Ukrainians and to introduce relevant disciplines into the education system,” Mykhailo Shevchenko said after the meeting.
We thank Andriy Tarasenko for the constructive dialogue and joint plans, which we hope to implement in the near future.
For its part, the UICDI team will do everything possible to ensure that the issue of quality education in Ukraine is not ignored by the relevant government agencies.
