A panel discussion on the activities of Hetman Skoropadskyi was held

The Ukrainian Institute for Conservative Researches and Innovations continues to hold thematic events dedicated to the Ukrainian Hetman Pavlo Skoropadskyi. A joint scientific seminar with the Tauride National University named after I.V. Vernadsky brought together students, scholars, UICRI experts, public and political figures!

If we consider the symbol of Skoropadsky, it is probably symbolic that Crimea should be a symbol of Ukrainian victory, and until we win it back, until we take it away, Ukraine will not develop as a full-fledged state. And Pavlo Skoropadsky himself stated in his messages that Ukraine is impossible without Crimea!” said Mykhailo Shevchenko, Director of the Ukrainian Institute of Cultural Research.

Andriy Ivanets, a leading researcher at the National Museum of the Holodomor Genocide and an expert of the Humanitarian Policy working group of the Crimean Platform Expert Group, also joined the event. According to him, for 100 years Hetman Skoropadskyi had been realizing that without Crimea Ukraine could not secure either its military or economic interests.

“Such meetings with students are useful, as one of the main tasks of the university is to foster critical thinking, and therefore presenting the conservative position is very useful, in particular in the ideal format of hearing opinions, asking questions, perhaps disagreeing with something, and thus shaping the consciousness of a modern citizen,” said Andriy Ivanets.

Meanwhile, the students say that the meeting was useful and motivating for them, as it was an opportunity to meet interesting people and join the initiatives of the Ukrainian Institute for Conservative Researches and Innovation in the future.

It is important, useful and necessary to organize such events for young people. Because it brings you back to your roots, and secondly, it helps you find your identity. The conservative movement is about Ukrainians. We are one of the few nations in Europe that has been showing for centuries that certain values and principles remain from the very beginnings of the formation of our nation,” she summarized. is a student of the Tauride National University named after M. V. Kuznetsov. В. І. Veronika Gurzhiy, Vernadsky University.

According to Oleksiy Samoilov, an expert at the Ukrainian Institute of Cultural Studies, PhD in History, associate professor, Pavlo Skoropadskyi is a representative of classical conservatism, as he created the monarchy. 00:33 It was Pavlo Petrovych who did the most for the formation of modern Ukraine as a nation, despite the fact that it was more than 100 years ago. So he is definitely a fundamental figure.

UICRI plans to hold a number of events dedicated to Skorpardsky. Currently, they are essential for spreading conservative ideas and values among Ukrainian society, which help in modern state-building processes. Especially in the context of the historical heritage of Hetman Pavlo Skoropadskyi.
