On December 16, Kyiv hosted a roundtable discussion “Conservatism and Innovation” attended by scholars, public figures, politicians and journalists.
The event discussed a number of issues related to the current state of conservatism in Ukraine and the prospects for its development, namely:
– What is conservatism and how to define it today?
– The fundamental aspects that every conservative must adhere to.
– How a conservative approach will improve Ukrainian medicine, business, and industry.
– How conservatism should form new cultural forms in the current conditions of digitalization and clip thinking.
– What young people expect from conservatism and their role in promoting these ideas.
– The challenges that families of the future will face and the importance of conservatism in solving future problems.
– Prospects for a conservative approach to international politics and the defense of our statehood.
Also, the purpose of this event was to find out whether we are able to build a common discourse today and what difficulties may arise in the process. The roundtable brought together people with different views, which led to a heated discussion that provided many topics for further consideration. This was the beginning of a series of events where we will discuss the current state and problems in various fields to form a comprehensive vision of the development of conservatism in Ukraine.
In particular, the upcoming discussions will focus on medicine, education, and the role of women in conservatism.
