He has a degree in philology (1994, graduated from the Faculty of Philology of the Kursk State Pedagogical Institute) and a degree in psychology (1997, graduated from the Faculty of Psychology of the Kyiv Institute of Internal Affairs).
Ph.D. in Psychology with a specialization in legal psychology, associate professor. Forensic expert of the highest qualification class in the specialties “Psychological research” and “Linguistic research of speech”. He is the author of more than 150 scientific publications.
Research interests: criminal psychology, psychology of criminal and delinquent behavior, social and political psychology, forensic and procedural psychology, leadership and management psychology, PR and image-making, operational and investigative psychology, psychology of operational and investigative activities, psychological portraiture, profiling.
He has repeatedly participated in the investigation of high-profile crimes related to serial murders. He is the developer of a series of author’s methods for psychological modeling of the criminal’s personality.
Polygraph examiner, member of the Ukrainian Association of Polygraph Examiners. Sexologist, member of the National Association of Sexology and Sexual Medicine.
He has 25 years of experience in the internal affairs agencies of Ukraine in positions related to psychological support of crime detection and investigation, and 12 years of experience in forensic science.
He has many years of experience in research and teaching.
