Bohdan Demyanenko
PhD. in art history. Musicologist and composer,

Musicologist, PhD in musicology, author of orchestral and chamber music, 9 cantatas, works for various instruments and choir.

Lecturer of music theory and piano at the Kyiv Children’s Academy of Arts named after M. M. Kulinsky. І. Chambers and a lecturer at the Faculty of Arts. А. Avdiivka National Pedagogical University named after M.V. Luhansk Taras Shevchenko. М. П. Drahomanov (polyphony, harmony).

He is the author of about 15 publications based on the results of his own research, including a commented edition of the Ukrainian music-theoretical treatise “Preportia” by an anonymous author of the 18th century, a manual on musical acoustics, scientific articles in Ukrainian and foreign publications, etc.

He graduated from the P. Pyschak National Music Academy of Ukraine. І. Tchaikovsky and defended his PhD thesis on “Individual and stylistic specificity of musical speech in partes compositions of the second half of the seventeenth and first half of the eighteenth century” (2021).

He did an internship at an organ-building factory Freiburger Orgelbau (2021, Freiburg, Germany).

Since 2010, he has been engaged in deciphering partes compositions from Ukrainian music manuscripts of the second half of the 17th – first half of the 18th century, and dating manuscripts.

In 2016-2019. He regularly performed as an organist with recitals in the philharmonic halls of Ukraine – Kharkiv, Lviv, Uzhhorod, Rivne, Kyiv – and abroad (Slovakia, Germany, Poland).
