Sergey Chaplygin
Ukrainian philosopher, historian of religion, sociologist, structural linguist, translator and public figure

He is a Ukrainian philosopher, historian of religion, sociologist, structural linguist, translator, and public figure. His main activity is focused on the study of the history of religions, beliefs and myths. In addition to research, he is actively engaged in educational activities, including translating philosophical works, giving public lectures, and participating in discussions on intellectual platforms in Ukraine. In 2021, Chaplygin initiated an open regular seminar, the National Roundtable, and an educational course, Conservatism Online, which features politicians, philosophers, historians, psychologists, and other experts. He also participates in the development of models for a public register of the Ukrainian language and rules for conducting public dialogue aimed at improving communication in Ukrainian civil society.
